Hi! My name is Stephanie (that’s me, at left in the photo). I’m a Mom, daughter, sister, friend and owner of the cutest pup ever. Born and raised an Atlanta girl, I'm a Georgia alumni, fabric and design lover, and now…an entrepreneur too! Susan and I--two dreamers who collided in September of 2011-- joined our ideas and created a vision for what we felt The Stitchery should be…a place to design, dream, socialize, create, sew and LEARN! Around here, we have a personality all our own, offering a friendly atmosphere (with 80's music in the background!), creative inspiration and project advice, along with lots encouragement and smiles to let you know you’re always welcome.
Hi, I'm Susan (at right in photo). Although I was born in New Orleans, I’ve lived most of my life between Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. Hobbies I enjoy, in addition to sewing (and chocolate) include…well, none! Joking aside, when I’m not at the shoppe, the one thing I enjoy most is being around my family. My favorite sewing styles include appliqué, quilting and crafting. After years of traveling long distances to find a decent sewing shop, a dream began to take root. So when my husband suggested I open my own store, I started to draft ideas of my ideal shoppe. That’s when I met Stephanie and began the journey of bringing The Stitchery to life. What a blessing to work in an industry where I’m surrounded by beautiful fabric (yes, I’m a fabric hoarder!), Baby Lock sewing machines (been sewing on them for 17 years) and excited patrons whose eyes gleam with the pleasure of learning to sew or quilt! The Stitchery is where friends meet to create, imagine and enjoy shared hobbies, the latest fabric designs, great new sewing products and a variety of fun classes that appeal to sewists of all styles and skill levels.
